Tiger’s Nest is also known as Paro Taktsang, it is a holy Buddhist temple located in Paro. The temple was built in 1692 around a cave which is few miles away from your stay.

1. Visa & Entry Rules
International Tourists
- Visa is mandatory (except for India, Bangladesh, and Maldives)
- Must be arranged through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or hotel
- Visa fee is USD 40 (one-time)
- Visa is issued only after full payment, including the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)
Regional Nationals (India, Bangladesh, Maldives)
- No visa required
- Entry permit is required (online or at the port of entry)
- Additional permits are needed to travel beyond Paro and Thimphu
2. Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)
International Tourists
- USD 100 per person per night
- Children aged 6–12 years receive a 50% discount
- Children below 5 years travel free
- Indian nationals pay approximately INR 1,200 per night
Purpose of SDF:
The fee supports Bhutan’s healthcare system, education, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation initiatives.
